WARPA, Skagit Speedway (WA) Hosting Safety Training Ahead of 2026 Season

The Western Auto Racing Promoters Association (WARPA) is partnering with Burlington, Washington's Skagit Speedway to host a safety training seminar for race track safety teams.

Scheduled for Saturday, March 7, and held at the Skagit Casino Resort in Bow, Washington, the training will be applicable to all types of race cars and include education on many different aspects of racetrack safety, according to organizers. Covered topics will include:

  • Proper application and removal of driver's safety equipment
  • Latest safety features in race cars
  • Fire suppression
  • Extrication
  • Medical needs
  • Event pre-planning
  • Performance during an event
